Title: Ys Strategy on Nintendo DS
Post by: Trunks on Apr. 25, 2007, 12:21:03 PM
I bought this japanese game when it came out, several months ago... and it is fun to play, it's like age of empires so it's not that hard to play without japanese knowledge. BUT, I just discovered that the game has been released in europe, so it must be in english!!  :o I will try to get it to check, but I wanted to let you all know so you could play it and grow that precious Ys game collection each of you (us) own.

Anyone has played the EUR version?

I was under the impression that the game took place before Ys I and Abel was someone completely different from Adol. Though I've yet to finish the game.

But yeah, I would agree that it isn't a whole lot of fun to play and it is pretty fugly for DS game when DS games are usually of a higher graphical calibur. I suppose the drawn artwork is decent, but the game's overall graphics are pretty horrendous.

The only redeeming part about it is that if you enjoy Game geography like I do, then you'll get a chance to learn about additional places within the Ys world. But then, I'm a map guy so maybe that only fascinates me...

Bought the game, finished it, hated it. It's awful. I even paid* to get rid of it.

* Shipped the game to Psycho DeuceBag, for free
