Just wanted to know if you are thinking about making patches for the PS2 Ys games like Ys I & II Eternal Story, Ys III and Ys IV: Mask of the Sun- A new Theory... Though probally not due to lots of reasons... But hey, just wanted to ask. ^^

I believe Gideon Zhi had plans to hack and (with the help of Psycho DeuceBag) translate YsIV Mask of the Sun - A New Theory for the PS2 due to it being relatively simple. I believe the "project" got canned though, due of the awfulness that is YsIV Mask of the Sun - A New Theory.
Honestly, if you haven't played that game yet -- don't! It is the single worst PS2 RPG I have ever played (actually, playing it pisses me off). And I've played 'em all. ;)

Wow,...I once heard Ys IV for PS2 was horrible, but not THAT horrible...
Also when I think better about it, I just imagine how complicated would be do both create the patch AND "insert" the patch,...I think I asked something really stupid afterall xD... (But still I hope someday it gets translated somehow...or that I learn japanese xD...But that will take lots of years =/...)

Well, maybe someday, PS2 emulation will be perfect, & we can atleast somehow rip the games(I have no idea how to rip a DVD personally) & patch them, & at the very least, play them on our comp's.

That's already very possible. There are PS2 emulators that will play commercial games (albeit slowly). Extracting the games is insanely simple, and I've done it myself because that's the only way for me to play imports (via my PS2 hard drive using HD Loader).
Oh, and YsIII is on a CD-ROM, just so you know.

Those Taito remakes are an unholy blemish on the name of Ys!
What if someone played one of those first, hated it, and never bothered to try the greats?
That problem would be accentuated if the games were translated.

Yes, luckily I got my hands on Ys III for PS2 (I heard someone tried emulating it by burning the game's ISO on a CD and then run on PS2 emulators...Maybe that's why we have it in CDs...maybe...). Anyway I thought Ys III would be the very same "rubbish", but wow...Ys III for PS2 was very fun!
By the way, was Ys I & II Eternal Story bad as well? I thought it would be like Ys I.II COMPLETE, but slightly better...

It is like YsI-II COMPLETE, but slightly worse. ;)

I got Ys V for PS2 in the mail today. Fast delivery.
Anyway... the game sorta sucks. But I wasn't expecting anything else either.
