So when I got the game I started on Hard Mode as Yunika. I figured I wanted the game to be challenging from the start. Boy did I get what I asked for! One thing about YsF is that on hard mode your rarely died from normal run of the mill foes, the same cant be said for YsO. I cant count how many times I have bit the dust from a group of "regulars". Sure I suppose I could just warp away, but whats the fun/challenge in that? Maybe I just suck but has anyone else noticed that Hard acually means Hard in this game?

I actually have been unable to beat Galbalan with YsF because I started my first game out with Inferno mode. I activated the cheat to enable the hardest mode (with the latest patch) from the start to get the most challenge out of the game. All it does really is forces you to spend more time leveling up. I've got Adol at the 2nd to the last level and I think I'm gonna have to spend a few more hours to get him to the final level to succeed.
Anyway, I could've told ya Falcom takes their difficulty modes seriously. ;)

When it comes to bosses Id have to agree with you but the rank and files are still pretty easy on YsF and Ys AON when compared to YsO

after hearing this i dont feel so bad by getting my butt kicked by the bosses on easy mode in Ys Origin. I plan on moving to extra easy for the other characters.

D'oh. Now you made me feel guilty for poking fun of people that need VE mode. :(
And one thing I'm glad about for PC Ys games it that their difficulty modes aren't like Capcom US' where even Easy mode can kick my ass. :P

na dont feel bad my gaming days ended 17yrs ago. All I play these days are new Ys games when they come out. Other then that i dont play any others. My reflexes suck.

My reflexes suck as well, but I'm only 21 years old... :~(
So I was wondering if someone would be kind of enough to make a trainer for this game, so the level upping wouldn't be so hard on us, poor souls that like Ys games. The only game Ys game that I was able to beat was Ys: The Ark of Napishitm...

I'm sure Very Easy mode will be on its way soon so don't despair! ^^
Let's all play every Castlevania game out there to get train our reflexes!!!! I think just the clock towers of each game should be sufficient. :P

Very easy mode is accessable already in 1.0.0.2 patch. to activate it a little work has to be done. i have also heard removing a certain file activates it also.
