Hmm, okay, that does sound like a much better idea.  Thanks for the advice!  Appreciate the response!

thanks :) you took it a lot better than I originally thought (didn't want to start a piracy flame war thingie ><)  but seriously, when you see how well this box is made... you'll know you made a great investment.

I think you might get more help out of this board if you went out and actually purchased this game. I really doubt anybody here is going to help you out.  Piracy is really frowned upon here.

Its still available, for such a great set of games its not expensive, and the box they give you is worth its weight in your currency.  Do yourself the favor and pick it up for all involved.

sweet, i love metroid, too bad I couldn't find the OST for super metroid :(.  I only have the lame "sound in action" which is what? basically someone recording directly from the game? lol

hey NightWolve its me again!

Actually i was doing some more reading today, and saw this post went to the top so I read it again....and I saw your post earlier up on page 2.  All i have to say man is..  people might not express it, but if they are feeling anywhere remotely close to what I am, we're ecstatic to have you around working on this stuff where (am i correct when I say nobody) has dared to venture or take this as far as you have.  I can understand greatly from your vantage that it looks like the chef has prepared the meal, and when he sits down to eat everyone has already left the table without giving comment/complement.  Stick through with it as long as you have the spirit to do so, we definately love you for it.

doh, hit my head with the noob-stick.  I thought I went through the posts in order to make sure this information wasn't already out there...  well for the future i know, but for now i await the arrival of this game!!!  Kudos to you NightWolve for taking years out of your life to put this together. I appreciate it.

Well I'll be damned:

"Tenchi-no-ryu (Stephen Harris) from RPGFAN had introduced me to rare Japanese imported games such as this that I knew nothing of at the time."

the same person that turned me onto Ys was originally from (and still in?) rpgfan, and I'm constantly on the rpgfan IRC chat.  funny how small a world this is.

well ask and ye shall receive.  when I asked about finding the ys games i had looked around already and had ignored "himeyashop" responses in google and the such because i already saw a link in an earlier post that was dead from them.  I went to the google one and low and behold...... I BOUGHT THE GAMES!!!!!  I haven't been excited over playing a video game since.....damn...I think when I bought Ys for PS2.  Today is truly a great day.  thanks for reading my behemoth of a post up there...I think you guys might be some of the only people that understand me...lol!

Ys I & II Complete / Hello All and question
« on: Aug. 02, 2006, 12:45:52 AM »
Hello all, not sure where to begin.  Nice little home you have here for starters ;).

(skip down to the bottom for question)

Well I guess maybe i'll start with my "life" with Ys.  Since 1999 I have had friends that were into RPG type games that were bilingual (or could at least read), and they would play domestic/imported games.  One that they would sometimes bring up is this "Ys" game.  The only thing I could do at the time was listen to their music for the games and from what i had love(d) (To make the end of battle - anyone?)  But (to my knowledge) for years I could not experience these games, until early last year when Ys for the PS2 came out.  I quickly snatched it up and played through it, loving the charachters and the music.  I was always a fan of the older type games, especially falcom release (Legacy of the Wizard, Faxanadu), so not being able to play those games was always the thorn in my side....recently i asked said friends if there was any news about domestic releases, as since MMORPG have came out they have taken my full attention.  I heard about this "translate patch for the games"... so even I could play it!!!  Well my  journay has started and I have come across this little website.  Without further ado...

Question: I read that these games were re-released (and thats what the patches are for).  I'd LOVE to buy the game and have a nice hard copy of it (no i do not have a download of it).    However I have trouble navigating Falcoms website..... maybe I'm missing something or have missed something on the page but I can't read japanese either :P.  Can anyone give me a direct link to the Ys 1 & 2 Complete dvd(s)? or know of a place that is currently selling them so that I may pick up this diamond in the rough?  (I realize my post may be all over the place but I'm actually excited i have a chance to play this game, sorry so long and all over)
