General / PayPal for donations?
« on: Sep. 03, 2007, 10:45:51 AM »
Hi guys

I'm thinking of setting up a paypal account for donations for my site. The donations are for all the traveling or the games(ripping the music/spirits purpose/etc) that I purchase to related to my site. I've never used Paypal or ebay(don't think I'll ever use it). I'm wondering what type of account should I set up with Paypal personal/premier/business. Also how should I do on how to have a link on my site linking to Paypal, for my visitors who would wish to donate are able to do so.

Any suggestions on how to go about it would be appreciated. :)

Nightwolve, if you could help me on this. This will be great as you already have one set up for this great site. :)

Thank you

Ys: The Oath In Felghana / Re: The "Moral" Extortionist...
« on: Jul. 01, 2007, 09:06:05 AM »
Maybe this is just some crazy idea of mine or something.  Maybe you should contact Falcom.  Then explain to them about your history and what you and Psycho DeuceBag have been doing for the English speaking fans of the Ys series.  I definitely think that they will be understanding and hopefully all your work will not be be disregarded at all.  Just maybe they could give both of you a privilege on translating on all future Ys games.  This way you won't have to talk these pirates, who want things for free...

Another way to safe guard your work is instead of releasing your patches here on your site.  Have them be released on Psycho DeuceBag's site. Both Psycho DeuceBag site and my site are hosted for free.  But you can't make a profit/$$$ on that, but you could have google ads, and other things like that with Gamespy's hosting service to earn some revenue for your much appreciated hard work work.    Also, I think you can still have the paypal link for your hard work, but don't quote me on that.  I had a similar problem, some sites used to just leech stuff from my site and I would have 500 gig of bandwidth usage a month... Then I re-hosted all of my downloadable files on Fileplanet, you'll have to use it if you join Gamespy's hosting.  This will safe guard your work. Plus it'll be confidential as you could share the link to x number of people and then take it down afterwards. If the pirates steal your work.  Then you could always email Gamespy and explain the situation.  They will get their lawyers to track them down and get them for stealing your hard work

I'm college student and poor one as well... If I had the money to donate, I would donate 20 dollars.  If it wasn't for your fan translation of Ys 1 and 2, I would never have experienced such a good game and story.  Thank you for all your great efforts in developing awesome translation. Its really appreciated.  Best of luck in the future and decisions.  You know the true fans will still support you in the end no matter what your decision is.

That's a great way to get at them... lol... :) I'm still waiting for the legal patch to release by Nightwolve...  I haven't got chance to finish origin yet as I want to finish up Felghana know whats going on.

I'm glad to hear Nightwolve hasn't decided to close down this place, as it would have been a great lost to all the Ys fans out there... Thanks man for keeping this place open. :)

Ys Origin / Re: Patch for the Ys Origin Setup/Config Utility

Eh, my advice, don't be playing or thinking about video games during your college days. That's your make or break period, and you don't need distractions.

Advice taken...  :)  Thank you for caring and for giving me good sincere advice.  You won't believe what I've gone through because of the video game industry(being used by big company for free and only getting few gifts like games, but no monetary aid at while they would aid other people involved franchise of games that came after me)  and how it affected by grades in college. :|   >:( :-[ :-\  :~( I've learned my lesson, now a days I only play video games when I am on vacation (being summer or winter break). I haven't played Ys Origin since January 7th...   My Junior Year classes started on the 8th of January. So no video games or anything of that nature.

Ys Origin / Re: Ys Origin on Hard Mode. WOW!

My reflexes suck as well, but I'm only 21 years old...  :~(

So I was wondering if someone would be kind of enough to make a trainer for this game, so the level upping wouldn't be so hard on us, poor souls that like Ys games.  The only game Ys game that I was able to beat was Ys: The Ark of Napishitm...

General / New Ys Announced by Falcom
« on: Sep. 01, 2006, 10:58:33 AM »
Hi guys

First of all, I would like to Thank you Nightwolve for the awesome translations of the Ys Series. I used to come here on your old forum.  But I think you guys moved. Then I used to lurk around last year. I can't wait to replay Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim and Ys: The Oath in Felghana again with the english translations when they are releasted. Thank you for your great efforts for translating these great games for the Ys Community and new comers like myself to the series. :)

My first game was Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim. Then I played Ys I and II Complete. Followed by Ys: The Oath in Felghana.  Currently I am going to try some of the SNES released Ys.

I became a member because, I wanted to share this great news that Falcom has announced a new game for the Ys series.
So far there is no Adol, the main character of the series shown.   Plus the first screen shot is reminiscent of the Tower of Darm from Ys 1/2 Complete.

Translation Through Google:

Quote
Is not [adoru] [kiyara] which…?!

First it should observe, the prayer character. As for having been taken to the how this screen shot '[adoru]… of the protagonist red hair of the [isu]' seriesSo it is not! 'As for battle with the enormous boss who is Daigo taste of [isu]' it seems that can be enjoyed even with the up-to-date work.

You run and come out John Don of puzzle!

Either the fact that it has been taken to this screen shot is not [adoru]. With like [kiyara] where is different with the 1st picture, it has the weapon like the enormous ax. From the fact that you can look around the sea, as for John this Don it is recognized that it is built in the rather high place.
