well since my one's the old version of naptishsm 1.xx and not the new one 2.xx so I'm not sure if this will work for you:
1. Uninstall any antivirus programs(no, just closing the program won't work)
2. try not installing the latest patch rather install an older version if there is one O_o

hope this helps

My Napishtim game installs at 1.2.0.1 which is the latest version, so reinstalling won't help.  Could you just copy and paste your ini file?

I wish that would've worked.  As soon as I open the file my whole computer freezes up and I have to hardboot.

Since somebody else has posted this on Psycho DeuceBag's forum's, I'm gonna copy+paste.

I recently bought Ys VI, standard edition, and installed it. But I have a really stange error I can't figure out. The games runs after install fine; however, if I try and open the config file nothing opens and in the task manager the config.exe is eating up all my CPU. It has obvisously hanged but just to make sure I let it run for a good 10 minutes. Nothing. The same things happens before and after I install the most recent patch from the falcom page. The game plays fine it is really annoying since the resolution is set so low and I have no way to redefine my keys.

Apparently it's not just the config.exe that freezes.  I've downloaded the 1.2.0.1 patch from Falcom's site and that does the exact same thing config.exe does..

So could anyone paste the contents of the ini files inside \documents and settings\account\application data\Falcom\Ys6_win

I hate playing at minimum resolution -_-.

Thanks for the explination.  Seems the one with the picture book and CD is sold out right now though.  Guess I'll get the 1 and 2 combo.

I've been kind of wondering what the game name is for item 877.  Is it Legend of Heroes VI?

And could anyone tell me the differences between item 877, 880, and 881?

From the couple screenshots the game looks pretty good.  I put the game name into an online translator and found out how much crap they were.  It came out as something like "Locus Legendary Sky"

Also, in the play-asia site, it says that YsOoF is out of print? Is this true? Or are they just saying that because they're out of stock?

I'd imagine they were just out of stock.

Didn't have enough cash to get Origins lol.
