*laughs!* Well, I've got chunks of the game transcribed and translated already. See- Nightwolve and I got to talking after I had started actually *physically* transcribing the game while playing through it. I was scripting it by hand and planning on doing a text translation- much like... oh. I think it was one of the Persona translations out there... Or the Tales of the Abyss story guide on GameFAQs.

So. I'd call Nightwolve a lifesaver. Especially now after I know exactly how much text that game has. XD

Now I just need to find the chunks of the game I've already got translated and start working on plugging my translations in on the editor. But... I'll probably keep with the menu for a bit. It's kept me pretty busy.

Oh. Don't worry. It will be. XD;; I'm totally not looking forward to translating the Carnelia books. XD;; Though I'm amused that there's a book called 'Introduction to Conversational Cat Language'.

I never found that book when I first played it, and holy crap, it's hilarious. XD;; It's also super easy to translate. XD

But I'm doing menu stuff right now. Just about at 3% on the script.

*keelsover* Sooo much teeext. ;o; XD;;

LOH VI / Re: Script Extraction Progress.

This is a rather daunting project. I'm still kinda dizzied over the scale of the script to this game. But then- I also planned to go through and translate it by hand at one point, so... I already know I'm crazy to begin with.

*patpats stacks of random translations from the game* XD;;

I'm terrified to think that when I'm done, that there will be a desire to hit SC. And after playing it, I know that game is going to have a much worse script. *dies*

I'm not sure about this but I think that ED6SC has a bigger script than the FC :)

You *think*? XD;;; Is there any sarcasm in that, because I'm pretty sure SC's script is going to be bigger. XD;; SC has a lot of variables for possible scenes.

LOH VI / Re: Buying Legend of heroes

The Legend of Heroes series has 6 games /technically/... but Sora no Kiseki Second Chapter is a continuation of Legend of Heroes VI.

The one being worked on IS the first chapter of the two that's on the play asia link you provided. ^^

I... believe they were all made for PC... but there've been plenty of remakes of the Gagharv Trilogy (3, 4, and 5)- one of the remakes being for PSP. ONe of them was even released in the US (4 - A Tear of Vermillion).

Purchasing Falcom games is actually not that hard. If you go to Falcom.com and go to their online shopping section, they do accept orders for overseas. More or less, just email user-sup@falcom.co.jp with the information of what country they'll be shipping to, what item (preferablly the item # included), and the quantity. They will get back to you with the total of your order. Then you send them your credit card information, and they will send a confirmation of your information and that should work out. :D

I'm also doing this kinda blind, so... if I got anything wrong, someone correct me please. XD

...oh. Also the Ys games are available on Falcom's site. I believe I and II complete are there... Oath in Felghana, and Ark of Napishtim.

I wish you luck- hope you find what you're looking for! :D

I'm also expecting Sora no Kiseki SC to have a much larger script, being that the game allows you to change characters out and the scenes /do/ change according to who you have in your party, so I've seen.  So there are a large number of variables on scenes according to the party members.

...which reminds me. I should check out the final battle stuff with other chars. But! That's for later. XD;;

I guess, though, I'd like to get together with some of the people who've also been interested in translating. I've had a couple of people helping me out- due to the fact that, while I can understand a fair amount of Japanese, my ability to word what I've read into English is kinda... shakey.

However, it's a pleasure to meet everyone else on here. :D Even if I'm a lurker. That's kind of my specialty.
