For the last 2 weeks I have been a madman trying to find Ys collectables after my rediscovery of Ys. I want to know if anyone has    Ys - THE ARK OF NAPISHTIM Limited Edition PS2 japan. I looks nice with the pocket watch and all but is it woth the money that people are asking online and in Ebay.

Well, it was worth it to me as an Ys collector.  I've purchased the game four times now.  It features English and Japanese modes, but you still need a Japanese or modded PS2 to play it.  Also included is the Konami Special Sound CD, but it has more drama than anything else.  A few good music tracks are still there.  One more item included is a nice book with character illustrations.  I can post pictures if you're interested.

Hey GMF, I was curious, who is Motoi Sakuraba? I never heard of him. What games did he compose music for?

Sakuraba's probably most known for being the composer of the Star Ocean and Valkyrie Profile series, and being a major contributor to the "Tales" series of RPGs.  His current work is Tursty Bell:  Chopin's Dream, and he also scored Baten Kaitos I & II.  Older works include Shining the Holy Ark, and Mario Sports titles, among many others.  His specialty is progressive rock.

Sakuraba's official English site can be found below, hosted by Cocoebiz:

T-T-T-TWENTY-TWO BUCKS?!?  You rat bastard!!  I paid double that for my standard American edition!  :~(

Seriously, you got a great deal there, man.  I paid $50 Canadian for mine, and that's after I convinced the clerk to lower the price 8) (gotta love Future Shop's "Price Protection Policy").  I would love to have a look at the goodies that come with it.

I wish I wasn't busy when Konami was holding their The Ark of Napistim Time Attack contest so I could have gotten the US equivalent of what you currently have...
